    ANDRIES BOONE a biography

Andries Boone has been a stalwart of many Belgian renowned artists for almost 20 years.

In 2001 he was co-founder of the cinematic experimental band ‘The Ballroomquartet’.

In 2011 he founded the mandolin quartet 'MANdolinMAN'.

In 2019 he released his first solo album, called C.O.L.O.R.S: Music for Mandolin & a Modern Consort.
C.O.L.O.R.S is an instrumental record, built around the sound of the acoustic mandolin and inspired by contemporary big bands, music from the baroque era and movie scores.

In March 2021, his second solo album was released, called T.I.ME.L.A.P.S.E. This album was recorded during the second Covid-lockdown in 2020. The sound of the album is determined by the accordina, mandolin & piano.

In May 2023, his third solo album was released, called C.O.N.V.E.R.S.A.T.I.O.N.S.  With "C.O.N.V.E.R.S.A.T.I.O.N.S", Boone will deliver his most rooted solo album to date. A progressive but accessible folk album, floating between folk rock and filmic acoustic music. Once again the acoustic mandolin will take center stage, this time engaging a conversation with the electric mandolin, embedded in an orchestral universe.
